This workshop proposes the re-evaluation and reflection of how the new reality of Brexit would affect "commuting" or work trips to London. Each group of students was assigned one of the four major London airports (Gatwick, Heathtrow, London City, Luton and Stanstead) to discuss readiness and welcome to commuters.
In our case, we were assigned to work with Heathrow International Airport. After analyzing the airport, we came to the idea of "generic". Something generic can be a good thing, since everyone can feel comfortable with it; but it can also be negative, since there is a risk of forgetting the characteristic quality it possesses.
This last idea is precisely what the British Brexiters defend. We finally decided to radicalize this idea, creating a new airport with two very different parts: an international part even more generic than the existing one; and a British one that was a mirror of the most characteristic aspects of its architecture.
